The LCS PTO
If you are a new parent with a child at LCS, the Lincoln Community School PTO would like to welcome you to our family. We understand that settling into a new school can be a daunting challenge, especially if you have just moved to Ghana from another country. But don’t fret! The LCS PTO is here to help.
In our school, there are many ways to make friends. As a new parent, you have the opportunity to meet other new families at the Orientation Day at the beginning of each year. You can also meet returning parents at the annual kick-off Welcome Brunch.
But the easiest way to tap in to the community is to get in touch with the LCS Welcome Committee, a caring, dynamic, and friendly group of parents who are just waiting to introduce you to our school and city. They can help you plug in to the LCS community and introduce you around as you begin to attend some of the exciting activities we have planned for the year.
The LCS PTO wants all our new parents to have a smooth transition as your family moves to Accra and joins our school community. To help you get to know the city, The No Worries guide, hosted by the Ghana-based North American Women’s Association, is an invaluable guide to all things Accra. If you would like to purchase one, ask one of the members of the PTO Executive Committee.
