Careers at LCS
Are you looking for a new adventure? If you are looking for a place to develop your skills in a community of compassionate educators then LCS could be the place for you.
Working at LCS
LCS is seeking teachers who are passionate about education; both their own education as well as student education. LCS educators are committed to meeting the needs of all students, thrive in a collaborative, collegial environment as part of a team of professionals, and inspire their students to be curious, critical learners.
The mission statement is the starting point for everything at LCS. We are completely focused on learning, leading and connecting.
Mission
Vision
We are going to be the most exciting learning environment in Africa, where learning is challenging and joyful, designed by students and teachers together.
Values
Don’t just tell me how it’s done. Let me try.
We don’t dream of success. We work hard for it. Learning is about trying things out for yourself, not just being told about them.
Whatever happens, it’s what you do next that matters.
Life is an adventure and learning should be, too.
Be kind: it opens doors and minds.
It means everything but it costs nothing. Let’s look after ourselves, each other and surroundings, so that the world we live in is better than when we found it.
The more we do together, the more we achieve.
There’s unity in diversity when we share a purpose.
Here at LCS we believe the following:
- Each employee makes a significant contribution to our success, and that contribution is not limited to the assigned responsibilities.
- That diversity helps us to fulfil our purpose, realise our vision and exemplify our values. We welcome applications from candidates who will add to the diversity of our team.

Professional Development
A cornerstone of our school philosophy is that we are all learners. Whether we are students, teachers, parents, or support staff, we are all expected to be active learners at Lincoln Community School!
In its commitment to professional development LCS is one of the best-resourced international schools in the world, as measured by the percentage of operating budget that is spent on PD. This funding provides growth opportunities for virtually all faculty and staff.
A variety of programs, differentiated to respond to individual and school needs
LCS organizes its PD programs to provide maximum benefit for our students. Because everyone has a role in the education of our students, whether as a teacher, teaching assistant, school leader, maintenance worker, or administrative staff member, our programs are tailored to support learning for all groups, and individuals within those groups.
Lincoln Community School strives to create a welcoming atmosphere where all members of our community learn and work together to achieve our educational goals. Our aim is to ensure that each member of our community experiences a ‘sense of belonging’ to our school.
