Be kind, it opens doors and minds.

Gratitude Day at LCS

Heena Vaswani, Learning Support Teacher

Gratitude is more than just saying “thank you”—it’s a social disposition that fosters kindness, empathy, and connection. By dedicating intentional time for every student to reflect on and share their appreciation, we help nurture these qualities that are essential for building strong, compassionate communities.

ECC on the roof!

Our ECC got to make the long walk up all the flights of stairs to go on to the roof with one of our maintenance staff to see how they maintain our solar panels.

Before the holiday season, our students not only reflected on gratitude but also had the unique opportunity to learn about the vital roles our in-house community members play in the daily operations of the school. From understanding their workspaces to gaining insight into their responsibilities, this experience deepened our students’ appreciation for the people who help our school thrive.

Seeing our students engage with such open hearts reminds us why moments like these matter so much. Let’s continue to celebrate gratitude and make it a cornerstone of our shared journey.
