Does LCS accept students with special needs?
Admission relies on matching the student’s needs and the level of services available. For that reason, the admission of any students with special needs is determined on a case-by-case basis using multiple sources of information such as school records, evaluations, and interviews with students, parents and teachers.
The following more specific criteria must be met:
- There is sufficient space and resources available to meet the student’s academic, physical, emotional and social needs.
- Admission of the student will not detract from the learning or well-being of other students at LCS.
You can find more information here.
Should my child be fluent in English to attend LCS?
LCS provides services to support English Language Learners. However, admission to the High School is dependent upon the student’s anticipated ability to complete the IB Diploma in grades 11 and 12 without English language support.
You can find more information on our Learning Support page.
What languages are offered at LCS?
LCS offers French from PK through to Grade 12; with Spanish being offered from Grade 6 through to Grade 12.

What after school activities does the school offer?
At LCS, our after school activities allow students to explore new learning opportunities, build and develop skills and talents in areas of particular interest to them, and participate joyfully in a range of school communities.
The activities are run in a four-module rotation throughout the year. Students are encouraged to maintain a balance between creativity and activity.
Elementary school students are able to choose up to three (3) activities per week, with middle and high school students being able to choose up to five (5).
Each module contains a variety of activities from which students and parents can choose from, including but not limited to: African drumming, soccer, drama, choir, swimming, basketball, basket weaving, bread and pastry making, recycled art, Spanish, and karate.
